some of you have heard of my little rumble and tuble i had going on. She sounded like a v8 since the timing jump and hadnt figured out why. well i went to Z1 to dyno tune her and get everyone some numbers. Before i even put her on there someone pointed out she sounded like she was running on 5 cylenders and thats when i discovered i had 0 compression in # 6

So my girls family friend Nick owns a tranny shop and he was good enough to let me use a bay and his huge shop collection of tools during his slow week while i was on con leave this past week. I pulled the plenum and the valve covers off to discover a two stuck lifters. One was #6 and was holding the valve in the open most position and the other was minor was only sticking a little but enough to be a problem if i ever wanted real results out of the motor. So i pulled the motor, removed the head and discovered a bent valve to go along with the stuck lifter. So i took it to a machine shop and replaced the valve re installed the head and put the motor back in in 3 days

i was pretty proud of myself. The fourth day i installed all the nick nacks (tranny, exhaust, once over the wiring harness etc) and then did a compression check #6 #4 #1 #3 and #5 all 150 but # 2.... 0 compression. This is enough to make a grown man cry. I was furious, so i installed the new 11B spark plugs (%&$*#* NGK iridiums never again) coil packs toped off the fluids and started her up she sounded beautiful compared to how it was last time, so smooth and i let her idle for probably 45 minutes while i bled the air out of the coolant. Drove her and she was driving amazing, felt like a new car. Got to the house checked the compression on # 2 and wam bam thank you mam 150 psi WOOOOO HOOO. Any ways still need to run a boost leak test but after that i think shes ready for the dyno
