PostSubject: I think obsession is the word...   Mon Nov 10, 2008 1:00 pm

Is it bad when you are so passionate about something that it continually destroys relationships your in. It just seems impossible to meet someone that enjoys the things i do, that i can hang out with my friends with and will go anywhere with me and just have a good time. I dont ask for much, i just love cars, specificly my Z but the motor vehicle enthusiasm all together, i can appreciate any project. Today i went to import face off, which was cool but i actually left with less than i came with. I came with a gf that i thought was a keeper and left with nothing. Which is cool with me, if she cant care for me and appreciate what i love then obviously she cant appreicate who i am. My friends also are my family, not only did she not spend any time with me at the show, she also just left to go hang out with her friends when i asked her to hang out with mine, now i know this sounds one sided but its not like im in town every day this is one of very few weekends i get to come home and she ditches out on me wtf? I dont even know what spurred me on to write this honestly i just figured it be nice to get it out, hell when i was in iraq tony was good enough to listen to me rant a couple time when the calls started off like "Hey Tony, hows my Z coming." Anyways im done rambling any words of wisdom are much appreicated. lol

if she really cared she would find any excuse just to spend time with you no matter what! So I say screw her, esp if she can't respect ur love for cars. The average women give us car women a bad name lol

Sorry to hear that though. How long were u with her??

i feel for ya :-/

it's give and take with any relationship mang. car related or not. i wish my baby mama was 1/4 into motorsports, but it just didnt happen that way. She does excel though in other areas where my past 'car' GF's lacked.

but its sure hard sometimes when i have to -sneak- in some car time here and there rather than just do it let alone be supported or helped by her.

*I think* if you keep going to car meets and events, then eventually you'll stumble across a keeper.

Yea i was with her for a little over 3 months so not that long, just really got my hopes up. I am getting more active now than i have ever been in the car scene and maybe your right maybe ill find one that is as interested in this passion as i am. Appreciate the feedback.

Don't worry the right one will come along eventually. Don't look for her, she will more then likly just come along. I know that is hard to understand but the more you look the more you find the wrong person.

Relationships are give and take and women have a hard time understanding this. Most are "all about me," but you have the others who are willing to give as well as recieve.

Then from some other planet you have the female car enthusiast. Lol. We are not the average females. We are tomboys, but still have that feminine charm....lol...or curse.

I have seen guys with girls that are not into cars and they get along great as long as the women and men are willing to give and take for the relationship. Then on the other hand I have seen where the girl just wont break and give some in order for it to work.

Things will work out in the long run. I always believe things happen for a reason, you and your ex weren't meant to be, maybe god has someone else in store for you.

Well it looks like we think along the same lines in that area, it wasnt like all i wanted was my car i gave up my time all the time, but when the car came around i wanted, i dont know, a little involvement? but whatever its over done with and your right everything does happen for a reason. For some reason i have always been attracted to the tom boys as long as there not to tom boyish lol. Never met one who is as into the car as i am. One day i guess Smile

Gee I'm sorry to hear this. I'm not doing great in the mate department myself. In fact, I've resigned myself to the fact that I may never meet "the one." Anyway, I do hope you meet a really nice girl down the road who will appreciate you for who you are. Until then, at least you have really good friends who care about you and your interests. Smile

Im not going to give up on something like that, but i am being much more careful and selective. The people you meet along the way also known as mistakes are the ones who teach you who and what you really want in that relationship Smile
