Here's what other colors would look like:

A sample of white text on black.
A sample of orange text on black.

Are there other colors we could test out?

I do like the blue .. but sometimes, depending on screen angle .. it can be a challenge to read.

Is it possible for the colors to be associated with the author? IE .. if I wanted to retain the blue color (drfault) for all my posts could I?

I think it would have to be a profile setting that would allow you to have the forum show up in different "skins".
